A chamber music feast in memory of Fiona Thomas
On Saturday 11 November 2017, internationally renowned musicians, led by Thomas Carroll, performed a beautiful programme of chamber music at St Matthew's, in memory of Fiona Thomas.
The musicians who so generously gave their time to raise funds for Fiona's Ealing Youth Orchestra Tour Bursary were:
Thomas Carroll – cello (Artistic Director of Orpheus Sinfonia & professor of cello at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal College of Music)
Valeria Kucharsky - violin (concertmaster in various orchestras)
Roman Simović- violin (concertmaster, London Symphony Orchestra)
Milena Simović- viola (soloist and chamber musician)
Steffan Morris - cello (assistant to Thomas Carroll at the Yehudi Menuhin School, guest principal in London Philharmonic Orchestra and chamber musician)
Anthony Hewitt - piano (soloist and chamber musician)
Stephen Craigen – horn (has performed with London Symphony Orchestra and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra)
Laura Thomas – oboe (former principal oboe at Ealing Youth Orchestra, now working in the V&A theatre and performance department)
Richard Thomas – piano (Musical Director of St Matthew’s Church Choir, Tredici Chamber Choir & Sine Nomine Singers; also Operations Manager of Orpheus Sinfonia).

Laura Thomas performed the Mozart, and Richard Thomas the Pärt, lending their own musicianship to a gorgeous tribute to Fiona.
